Abstract

Development planning and government performance evaluation really need up to date, accurate, and continuous data. Data on socio-economic conditions is needed to provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Information on the socio-economic conditions of the community has been collected through the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and used as a basis for obtaining various indicators of people's welfare attainment. These indicators include: school participation, reading and writing skills, NER, GER, and NER for education; health problems, utilization of health facilities, health insurance, breastfeeding for children under five, and immunization for children under five, as well as smoking behavior for the health sector; birth attendant, age at first marriage, family planning participation, and the average number of children born in the field of fertility and family planning; living conditions, water sources for cooking, bathing and washing for housing; ownership of HP, internet access in the use of information technology, as well as government assistance/programs for public welfare.
