Booklet Hasil Long Form Sensus Penduduk 2020 Kabupaten Bangka Barat

BANGKA BARAT is one of the districts in the Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province with enormous potential. In terms of population, West Bangka Regency is the third largest after Bangka Regency and Pangkalpinang City. With the right strategy, the population as a potential resource can become the strength of Sejiran Setason Country to create an advanced, prosperous, and dignified society.In 2022, BPS is committed to completing the mandate to carry out the Advanced Population Census (Long Form SP2020) with various challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The SP2020 Long Form carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, a Portrait of Indonesia's Demographics after going through the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, as well as being the basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
Even though it was carried out in the midst of a pandemic, there were several innovations implemented in the SP2020 Long Form, one of which was the use of various data collection modes (PAPI, CAPI, and CATI). For the first time, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) was applied in the history of the population census in Indonesia.
The journey of implementation and results of the Long Form SP2020 is briefly presented in the booklet on Population Indicators of the Results of the Long Form SP2020 of West Bangka Regency. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of the population condition of West Bangka Regency based on the results of the Long Form SP2020. The basic data coverage of the SP2020 Long Form results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, employment, disability, education, and housing. It is hoped that the provision of demographic parameters and population characteristics will produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of the SDGs and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
