Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in West Bangka Regency will be 1.32 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 102.74.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.39 percent; education group at 1.57 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.54 percent; transportation group by 0.16 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.15 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group by 1.63 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.00 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.89 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.84 percent; health group by 0.25 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.03 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for West Bangka Regency in February 2024 are 0.47 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.
