Abstract

In April 2024, West Bangka Regency year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 1.36 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.05.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.12 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.20 percent; transportation group at 0.48 percent; recreation and sports group at 0.18 percent; education group at 1.57 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.56 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.66 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the clothing and footwear group by 0.52 percent; equipment, tools and household maintenance group at 1.29 percent; health group by 0.27 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 1.02 percent

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for West Bangka Regency in April 2024 are 0.08 percent and 0.84 percent, respectively.
