Abstract

In May 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) deflation in West Bangka Regency of 0.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 102.47

Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.39 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.33 percent; health group by 0.27 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 1.20 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y inflation or an increase in the index were: the clothing and footwear group at 0.48 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.20 percent; transportation group by 0.45 percent; Recreation, sports and culture group at 0.11 percent; education group by 0.20 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.56 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.35 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for West Bangka Regency in May 2024 is 0.56 percent, while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for West Bangka Regency is 0.27 percent.
