Abstract

In October 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) deflation in West Bangka Regency of 0.08 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 101.22.

Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.45 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.07 percent; the information, communication and financial services group at 0.99 percent, and the recreation, sports and culture group at 0.62 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y inflation or an increase in the index were: the clothing and footwear group at 4.05 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.14 percent; health group by 1.05 percent; transportation group by 0.50 percent; education group by 1.05 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.87 percent; as well as personal care and other services by 4.00 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for West Bangka Regency in October 2024 were recorded at 0.07 percent and 0.95 percent respectively.
