Abstract

• In January 2024, West Bangka Regency year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 0.92 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 102.26.

• Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 2.29 percent; education group at 1.57 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.54 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.34 percent. On the other hand, the groups that experienced y-on-y deflation or a decline in the index were: the clothing and footwear group by 0.80 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.02 percent; the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group experienced deflation of 0.88 percent; health group by 0.25 percent; transportation group by 0.17 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.48 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 1.00 percent.

• The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for West Bangka Regency in January 2024 are 0.07 percent each.
